Building a community

I see the phrase "building a community" all over TikTok but I wanted to talk about what the Orlune community means to me and to the girls that took a chance on Orlune.

Since starting Orlune I have had messages saying how important the group is to them, how the group has helped them scale their business, that their business would no longer exist if it wasn't for Orlune and these are what keep me going.

Orlune doesn't make me any money, if anything it costs me money to host the events and take time out from client work to be there and grow but this passion project has become who I truly needed to be.

Messages like these are the fuel in my fire to work harder and bring more support to the event. I have reached out to some amazing women and asked them to be a part of Orlune and offer advice after their years in business and I will not stop until they are all on board. (even then, I will find more)

What I am trying to say is, I am proud of every Orlune girl.

I am proud to have so many women together in a supportive environment, proving that we can have our own version of the golf course without malice or jealousy.

We have women in our group who just have an idea and need support launching, we have established business owners and everything in between.

I launched my email marketing business when I got made redundant TWICE two years ago and I was fortunate enough to have contacts who were willing to work with me as soon as I went self employed. The value of your network is priceless.

That is why Orlune is so important and this is what our first event will be for. Meeting women in different industries, sharing knowledge, skillsets and finding partners that you didn't know you needed.

Gone are the days of needed the cheap factories abroad when you can use an Orlune girl and promote each other.

I have invested so much into the community because we all believe in the same thing and everyone has invested so much into me.

I feel like I have gone off on a tangent here but what I want to say is thank you, thank you to everyone who is building this community with me.

The secret to building a community? I don't know but I would start with a passion, a view, a goal that you all believe in and just keep talking about it.

I will run through my essentials for working for myself next time, so until then;

See you on the golf course

Hatty
